"You don't try Real Estate. It tries you." John's stellar career has seen a few booms and a few recessions, and he has one of the most extensive and successful property careers in Melbourne.
John initially worked in Richmond, then Mount Waverley and Albert Park, before opening his own agency in Richmond, which he ran for 24 years.
In 2005, John took the opportunity to sell his Richmond practice to join his estate agent wife; Le Hoa in her thriving business; McDonald Real Estate. Together, they have expanded their family-owned group over the ensuing years into a multi-office network. Along the way, John has acted for literally thousands of clients and he estimates the number of auctions he has conducted to be in excess of 1,700.
His past and present corporate clients include Siemens, McDonalds Family Restaurants, Epworth Hospital, Salvation Army, Westpac and NAB, State Trustee, Metropolitan Fire Brigade, Henley Homes plus many property development companies in the capacity as their project marketer.
Widely involved in professional and community issues, John served as a Director of the REAA, as 1 of the 19 initial members of the newly formed REIV in 1985 and as Vice-Chairman of the Professionals Real Estate marketing group in the 1990's. He has served as President of 2 Rotary Clubs (Richmond and Springvale City) and has served on a number of REIV committees.
Whilst working with his wife Le Hoa in the building of a great team remains one of the most rewarding aspects for John, he has never stopped looking after the needs of clients on a daily basis.

Le Hoa Wysham owns and operates the McDonald Real Estate Group, employing around 50 staff across 6 offices in Melbourn's south-east.
For over 20 years, Le Hoa has been a peak performer in her profession. In that time, she has taken the company from a single office operation to a strong and distinctive multi-office brand, providing property services to more than 20 suburbs across 4 municipalities.
Under Le Hoa's leadership, McDonald Real Estate has been at the forefront in the introduction of leading edge services, technology and staff training. This has put her McDonald brand well ahead of the competition, always being the first to offer new and high quality professional services to their clients.
Being a fully licensed agent, a qualified business manager, an expert in local real estate and having an extensive list of loyal clients established over many years are all contributing reasons why Le Hoa is such a popular choice for sellers. She believes in devoting great time and care to ensure that all her clients receive service and attention to the highest level.
Le Hoa's business management expertise was further enriched during her 5 year role (1997 to 2002) as director of Real Corp; the administrative arm of the national Professionals Real Estate marketing group.
Le Hoa is also a keen renovator and brings her creative touch to interiors of her properties.
At home, Le Hoa enjoys spending time with husband and fellow real estate agent John, and she delights in nothing greater than relaxing around the company of her two adult sons or watching her beloved football team Carlton at play.

Mark Richardson
Director
Growing up in a real estate office environment, it is fair to say it was in the blood and it was only going to be natural progression for Mark to move through the company as he has.
A fully Licensed Estate Agent and backed by a secondary education at Haileybury College as well as a Bachelor of Business Marketing from Monash University, Mark also has experienced overseas travel and numerous sporting achievements at state and national level. It's because of this Mark has the confidence and self-belief required to tackle the challenging and forever changing field of Real Estate.
Working initially as the Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator, Mark moved into sales early but has since furthered his responsibilities becoming Manager of Dandenong office in 2004 thereby pursuing his passion to manage people and a business where he instigates and oversees the changes and progress which the company continuously undertakes - Mark became a Director of the company in 2005.
